Celebrating the library's 15th anniversary

On desember 1st the National and University Library of Iceland celebrates its 15th anniversary with a special reception at the Library where the minister of education, Katrín Jakobsdóttir, will open access to the Centre of Oral History to the general public. The director of the board, professor Guðmundur Jónsson, adresses the ceremony and the projects coordinator, Brynhildur Sveinsdóttir, introduces the Icelandic Centre for Oral History and plays some of the recorded interviews in the Centre´s collection.

The website,, which stores the final dissertations of students of the universities in Iceland along with research works of academic employees will be introduced by Áslaug Agnarsdóttir.
