Oxford Dictionary of the Middle Ages

Electronic access to the Oxford Dictionary of the Middle Ages is now open on the University network. The four-volume printed version is also available in the library reference section. The dictionary is a reference work covering all aspects of European history and culture from 500 to 1500.

We also like to remind users of the electronic access to the Lexikon des Mittelalters and the International Medieval Bibliography Online . The bibliography has been set up with the TDNet link resolver making it easier for users to find full-text versions of journal articles when these are available or look them up in Gegnir in order to see whether a particular book is available at the library. These two databases also provide cross-references between the entries and articles.

Links to these databases can be found under E-Resources on the library website, and they are also filed in Gegnir with links to the electronic versions.
