On Tuesday, October 26, the library hosted a symposium on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of author Fjodor Dostojevski's and Russia's presidency of the Arctic Council. The photo exhibition "The Russian Arctic" was opened, lectures were given and a documentary was shown.

This event was part of the Days of Russian Culture in Iceland, which focused on culture in the Arctic; geography, history, literature and culture of Russia, the Faroe Islands and Iceland.
