On Thursday 17 March, a new version of the web ismus.is was formally opened in the museum. Addresses were given by Ingibjörg Steinunn Sverrisdóttir, National Librarian, and Guðrún Nordal, Director of the Árni Magnússon Institute, as well as Rósa Þorsteinsdóttir, Jón Hrólfur Sigurjónsson, Trausti Dagsson and Bjarki Sveinbjörnsson.

Ísmús - Icelandic music and cultural heritage - is a database that stores and publishes on the web data concerning Icelandic culture then and now: recordings, photographs, films, manuscripts, texts and folktales. The project is managed by the Icelandic Music Museum and the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies.
