An international summer school in manuscript studies

Last week, a two-week international summer school in manuscript studies ended. The school is a joint project of Árnastofnun, the University of Iceland, the National and University Library of Iceland and the University of Copenhagen (The Arnamagnæan Institute). This was the nineteenth time the school was held. This year, the teaching took place in Edda, Veröld - Vigdís' house in the National and University Library of Iceland and, but it is held alternately in Reykjavík and Copenhagen. The various aspects of manuscript studies were discussed and the students got to look at manuscripts from the The Arnamagnæan Institute and the manuscript collection of the National and University Library of Iceland. A total of 54 students from 17 countries participated in the school and 21 teachers.
