International Open Access Week is celebrated from October 20–26, under the theme “Who Owns Our Knowledge?”. The focus is on access to knowledge and ownership in contemporary society, and how we can work together to ensure equitable access to research outputs.
To mark the week, the National and University Library of Iceland and partner institutions including the libraries of Reykjavík University, University of Akureyri and Iceland University of the Arts present a series of podcasts exploring open access from various perspectives:
In addition, an online seminar on data stewardship in the Nordic countries will take place on Wednesday, October 22, 12:00–14:00, hosted by Gagnís and the Nordic Data Stewardship Network (NDSN).
All podcast episodes and links will be available from October 20 on openaccess.is.
