On Wednesday 26 November the National and University Library of Iceland is holding a course in EndNote, in cooperation with the School of Humanities Writing Centre. The course will be held in the lecture hall of Þjóðarbókhlaða, the library building at Arngrímsgata 3, 12:00–13:00.
The course will show how to enter references in EndNote by hand and how to import them from databases such as leitir.is, Ebsco, ProQuest and Web of Science.
It will also cover how to insert citations (in the text as well as in footnotes) directly from EndNote and how the program sets out a reference list in all the main styles.
The EndNote software can be downloaded free of charge (with instructions) in Ugla, under Computer services – Software. It is best to have EndNote installed before the course begins; if you run into any problems with the installation, please contact the University’s Computing Services (Reiknistofnun) in Háskólatorg.
The teacher is Erlendur Már Antonsson, information specialist at the National and University Library of Iceland.
The course is open to everyone, but participants are kindly asked to register HERE.
