The Swedish Embassy in Iceland recently gave the University of Iceland a generous gift: the major work “The Linneus Apostles”, on the important discoveries of the students of the Swedish scientist Carl Linnaeus in 18th-century science and culture. Kristín Ingólfsdóttir, Rector of the University of Iceland, received the books from Bosse Hedberg, the Swedish Ambassador to Iceland.
You can read more about the gift on the University of Iceland website (in Icelandic).
The books will be kept at the National and University Library of Iceland, where they will be available to everyone interested in the great achievements of Linnaeus’s disciples.
