Parking: Two parking spaces marked for disabled people are near the main entrance.
Main entrance: There is no threshold, and the doors open automatically. From the main entrance a lift goes up to the 2nd floor, where the Library’s main service desk is. Please note that the lift by the main entrance is smaller than the other lifts in the building (the door opening is 76 cm and the floor 140 cm x 110 cm). Contact the service desk (tel. 525 5681) if you need more information.
Access inside the building: The whole building is accessible by wheelchair. From the 2nd floor a lift goes to the other floors.
Toilets: The building has two toilets for disabled people, one on the 1st floor and one on the 4th floor. They are next to the lift.
Study room: One study room is reserved for disabled people. Students at the University of Iceland apply for access to it through the UI Student Counselling Centre; others apply to the Library’s loans service (utlan (at) landsbokasafn.is).
