Teachers can ask for particular works to be placed in the course reserves for the courses they teach. While a course is running, those works are either for use in the Library only or lent for one to fourteen days. The course reserves are on the 3rd floor of Þjóðarbókhlaða, the library building at Arngrímsgata 3. Photocopied course readings can also be kept there.
Loans from the course reserves require a library card, like any other loan. Library cards at the National and University Library of Iceland are free of charge for students and teachers at the University of Iceland.
