Library card application

The National and University Library of Iceland issues library cards at the service desk on the 2nd floor on presentation of photo ID and an Icelandic ID number (kennitala). A library card is included in the tuition fees of students at the University of Iceland; University staff receive a card free of charge; everyone else pays an annual fee according to the fees. International students at the University of Iceland must complete the following request for a library card.
