Manuscripts and private archives are brought out twice a day, at 10:00 and 14:00; orders must be in 30 minutes before that. You can order by e-mailing handrit (at) landsbokasafn.is, by phoning 525 5678, or at the Manuscript Collection’s desk on the 1st floor of Þjóðarbókhlaða, the library building at Arngrímsgata 3. The Manuscript Collection is open 9:00–17:00 on weekdays. Certain rules of conduct apply in the reading room of the Manuscript Collection and the National Collection, and visitors are asked to read them.
