On Wednesday 18 May Elisabet Björklund gave the letters of her grandmother, Nanna Boëthius, to the Manuscript Collection of the National and University Library of Iceland. Nanna was Sigurður Nordal’s first wife. Her collection of letters holds many letters from Sigurður, but also from Björg C. Þorláksson and Einar H. Kvaran. Lars Lönnroth, former professor, recently wrote an article on the relationship between Sigurður and Nanna in the journal Scripta Islandica (66/2015), which is available online.
