Since 18 August, parking has been charged for in the car parks at Þjóðarbókhlaða, the library building at Arngrímsgata 3, as in all other car parks on the University of Iceland campus (see the map below). The car park at Birkimelur is exempt from charges for the time being, as it belongs to the City of Reykjavík.
Charges apply on weekdays from 7:00 to 17:00, and the rate is ISK 230 per hour. You can pay in the Parka app, on Parka’s website (parka.is) or at a pay machine (to be installed shortly).
