Reykjavík City Library, in cooperation with Landskerfi bókasafna (the Consortium of Icelandic Libraries), has opened Rafbókasafnið (the e-book library)
at http://rafbokasafnid.is / http://rafbókasafnið.is
The aim of Rafbókasafnið is to give the public access to a wide range of e-books and audiobooks.
At first the service will be available only to Reykjavík City Library borrowers, but other public libraries are expected to offer it to their borrowers later.
The National and University Library of Iceland congratulates Reykjavík City Library and Landskerfi bókasafna on Rafbókasafnið.
