A new policy for the National and University Library of Iceland for the years 2023–2027 was launched on 14 October 2022, after a period of preparation. The policy builds on the legal framework the Library works within, on earlier policies and on the areas covered by the Library’s statutory tasks. A policy group within the Library analysed its work and the opportunities for change and for doing better. Other staff also took part in the project. The policy sets out 27 goals, divided into seven areas, which will be worked on in the coming years.
