In the Library’s first book of acquisitions the publication is simply referred to as Konge Loven or the King’s Law. Frederick III the king of Denmark signed the law on November 14, 1665, and it was the legal basis of the monarchy that the king had previously established. King Frederick IV then had the law printed in 1709.
