The National and University Library of Iceland runs and manages the publishing platform Ejournals.is, where Icelandic scholarly journals can publish their content in open access.
The Library supports editorial teams in setting up and running journals in Open Journal Systems (OJS), including advice on publishing workflows, metadata entry, DOI identifiers and registration in the relevant databases.
To be published on Ejournals.is, a journal must be a peer-reviewed scholarly journal and all its content must be open access. The service is part of the Library’s support for open access, Opin vísindi (the Icelandic open access repository) and infrastructure for the Icelandic research community and the public. Its aim is to strengthen Icelandic scholarly publishing, make research more visible and support open access to knowledge. For further information, send an enquiry to rannsokn (at) landsbokasafn.is.
