Collection of works by Kristmann Guðmundsson

After Kristmann's death in 1983, his daughters donated to the National Library of Iceland the part of his library that contained the poet's works in both the original languages, Icelandic and Norwegian, and in translations into a number of languages, as well as various anthologies for which he contributed material. There are also various works that he translated into Icelandic. In 2016, this collection was made a special collection in the National Library.

A considerable amount of clippings from foreign newspapers and magazines accompanied the gift, and that material is preserved in a manuscript collection.
