On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the opening of the National Library of Iceland – University Library, two exhibitions were opened on December 1, Tryggvi Magnússon and the Coat of Arms and On Advent 1994. In addition, three of the museum's projects were introduced; the Audio Library, the Historical Icelandic Library 1534-1844 and the Compass. Guðmundur Oddur Magnússon (Goddur) gave a short talk about Tryggvi Magnússon and the Coat of Arms, and Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, President of Iceland, opened the exhibitions.
