A poet's childhood at the beginning of the century (completed)

An exhibition dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Halldór Laxness's birth opened on World Book Day, April 23. The exhibition focuses on the poet's childhood and formative years.

Halldór was born on April 23, 1902 at Laugavegur 32 in Reykjavík. At the age of three, he moved with his parents to Laxnes in Mosfellsdalur, where he grew up. This exhibition at the National Library focuses on childhood
Halldór Guðjónson from Laxnes. Exhibits include artifacts, documents, and books from his childhood in the Mosfells region at the beginning of the twentieth century. One wonders what influenced him to decide to become a writer. Therefore,
cannot be answered with this exhibition, but an attempt is made to highlight various aspects that may shed some light on his interests and what he did as a child in Laxnes.
