The personal archives of Nobel Prize-winning poet Haldór Laxness are preserved at the Manuscript Collection of the National Library of Iceland. Among other things, many versions of his works can be found there, from the original manuscript to the final edition. Bragi Þorgrímur Ólafsson, director of the manuscript collection, says in an interview with a student at the University of Iceland that it is fun to be able to see how Halldór gradually developed his work.
