Central Bank of Iceland Travel books collectin

In 2005, an agreement was signed that entailed the Central Bank of Iceland handing over to the National Library for safekeeping a collection of foreign books, magazines, booklets and newspapers about Iceland and Icelandic subjects, especially folk life and nature, around 2,500 volumes, and several hundred individual images that have appeared in foreign newspapers and books. This includes various travel books that foreign visitors have written about their travels around Iceland over the centuries.
