    From Scribbles to Clouds – Research in Library and Information Science          

    November 8, 2013 – 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM in the lecture hall on the 2nd floor of the National Library:

    From the Clouds to the Clouds – Research in Library and Information Science is the title of a conference for recent graduates of the Master's degree program in Library and Information Science. The conference is an annual event organized by the Department of Library and Information Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Iceland. A variety of papers are on the agenda, and this time 12 speakers will present their research in the field of library and information science. 
     
    Research like this plays an important role in development and innovation and steadily adds to the knowledge base of the field. It provides Icelandic society and the economy with important knowledge that can benefit both public and private sectors. The conference is therefore an ideal platform for working experts in the field and others who want to expand their knowledge in library and information science. 
     
    The conference is free and open to everyone. 
     
    The program is as follows:

    • Dr. Jóhanna Gunnlaugsdóttir, professor and chair of the program in library and information science, will deliver an address.
    • Dr. Stefanía Júlíusdóttir, assistant professor of library and information science, will chair the meeting.
