As of August 18th, parking fees began to be charged at the National Library, along with fees at all other parking lots on the University Campus (see map below). Parking lots at Birkimel are exempt from fees for the time being, but they are owned by the City of Reykjavík.

The fee is payable every working day from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the hourly rate is 230 ISK per hour. Payment can be made in the Parka app , on the Parka website (parka.is) or at a payment terminal (which will be installed soon).
