On Friday, February 3, the manuscripts of Ísólfur Pálsson (1871-1941) were handed over to the National Library of Iceland – University Library. Ísólfur was organist at Stokkseyrar Church from 1893-1912 and also conducted choirs and quartets there. He studied instrument making and tuning in Denmark and worked in that field after moving to Reykjavík in 1912. Ísólfur composed numerous popular songs throughout his life and left his mark on Icelandic music history. Ingimar Sigurðsson handed over the documents to Ingibjörg Steinunn Sverrisdóttir on behalf of Ísólfur's descendants.
