The Maltese Ambassador to Iceland, Jesmond Cutajar, visited the museum on 22 June. He was gathering information about libraries in Iceland, book publishing/bookselling, translation and not least about the activities of the Icelandic Library and Information Society. He requested information and cooperation in addition to viewing the museum's premises. He brought the museum two books by Maroma Camilleri, about costumes and fashion in ancient Malta and about the siege of Malta in 1565, when the Turks or Ottomans tried to capture the islands.
