The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Illugi Gunnarsson, visited the library on Tuesday, August 27, together with his assistant, Sigríður Hallgrímsdóttir. Accompanying him were Ásta Magnúsdóttir, Secretary to the Secretary, Ingibjörg Ólafsdóttir, Specialist Eiríkur Þorláksson, and Leifur Eysteinsson, Quality Manager. The Minister toured the museum and familiarized himself with the exhibitions, and the group visited, among other places, the 4th floor, the music and video collection, information services, the catalog hall, the Icelandic Archive, the manuscript collection, and the photo studio. Afterwards, the library's main digital projects were presented in the conference room, and lively discussions took place about the museum's activities and its future plans.
