The Icelandic Writers' Association and the National and University Library of Iceland are awarding a prize for a book of poetry published in 2017. The prize, entitled The Star of May, was presented for the second time at a ceremony at the National Library today, May 29. The Star of May for the 2017 poetry book of the year goes to Kristín Ómarsdóttir for her poetry book Kóngulær í sjærnargluggumur.
