
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Icelandic section of Wikipedia, a short symposium will be held about the free encyclopedia that has become a hit and is today one of the most visited websites in the world.
The symposium will be held in the National Library's lecture hall on December 5th from 12:15 to 14:00. The program is as follows:

- 12:25 – Áki G. Karlsson, employee of the National Library of Iceland
- 12:33 – Dóra Hafsteinsdóttir and Sigríður Harðardóttir, editors of the Icelandic Encyclopedia, published in 1990
- 12:41 – Hrafn H. Malmquist, employee of the National Library of Iceland
- 12:49 – Orri Vésteinsson, professor at the Faculty of History and Philosophy, University of Iceland
- 12:57 – Salvör Gissurardóttir, Assistant Professor at the School of Education, University of Iceland
- 13:05 – Sigurbjörg Jóhannesdóttir, expert at Reykjavik University
- 13:13 – Stefán Pálsson, historian
- 13:21 – Tryggvi Björgvinssson, computer scientist
