Receiving resources

The Manuscript Collection accepts manuscripts and private archives (letters, diaries, meeting minutes and other documents from individuals and associations). Documents from state or local government institutions are not accepted, but are referred to the National Archives or regional archives. Before submitting documents to the Manuscript Collection, it may be a good idea to contact the Manuscript Department staff ( handrit@landsbokasafn.is ) for instructions on how to dispose of private archives.
