Acquisitions

The Manuscript Collection collects manuscripts and private archives (letters, diaries, meeting minutes and other documents from individuals and societies). Documents from governmental or state institutions are not accepted, but are referred to the National Archives or local governmental archival collections. Before documentsare delivered to the Manuscript Collection, it is advised to contact the staff of Department ( handrit@landsbokasafn.is ) to recieive guidance on the form of delivery of private arhives.
