The Christmas gift from the National and University Library of Iceland's manuscript collection to the public is an electronic manuscript catalogue of manuscripts that have been received by the manuscript collection between 1964 and 2013. The catalogue contains descriptions of 725 manuscripts, which can be found here http://landsbokasafn.is/index.php/efni/handrit/handritaskrar . The manuscripts have also been registered at www.handrit.is .

There is still a long way to go before all manuscripts received during this period are fully listed, and a new edition will be published when 1000 manuscripts have been listed. This is an interim edition; the description of the manuscripts will be more complete later and work will be done on harmonization.
