Dot dot comma dash on a manuscript collection

At the end of November, writer Pétur Gunnarsson handed over the manuscript and draft of his novel, Punktur punktur komma strik . The story was first published in 1976 and immediately became very popular and was, for example, included in the curriculum in schools in the country a year later. It follows the growing up years of the protagonist, Andri Haraldsson, and these are followed in Pétur's later works, Ég um mig frá mér til mín (1978), Persónur og leikendur (1982) and Sagan öll (1985). The story was made into a film directed by Þorsteinn Jónsson and the film premiered in March 1981. The manuscript is in four folders and contains, among other things, Pétur's initial drafts of the work from the years 1969 and 1971, when he was studying philosophy at university in France. The manuscript shows the development history of the work and is therefore a great benefit from this donation to the manuscript collection.
