At the Humanities Conference on Saturday, staff from the Manuscript Museum and the Women's History Museum will talk about the sources used in connection with the project "R1918." The project, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Icelandic Arts Festival and RÚV, mainly consists of readings of sources such as diaries and letters from the year 1918 that are preserved at the National Library (Manuscript Museum and Women's History Museum) where life in Reykjavík in 1918 is described. These readings are broadcast on Rás 1 every day at 12:03 and are scheduled until June. See their website here: http://www.ruv.is/thaettir/r1918
Historian Erla Dóris Halldórsdóttir will be the moderator, and in addition to Lbs-Hbs staff, historian Gunnar Þór Bjarnason will give an introductory speech.
