On September 7, Ásmundur Jónsson, on behalf of Smekkleysa SM ehf., handed over posters from Smekkleysa's archives to the National Library for their ownership and preservation. Ingibjörg Steinunn Sverrisdóttir, National Librarian, and Ásmundur signed a handover agreement and an exhibition of posters and other published material from 30 years of Smekkleysa's work and the members who worked in the run-up to the company's founding was opened. At the opening of the exhibition, Ingibjörg Steinunn and Ásmundur gave short addresses and Bragi Ólafsson and Óskar Árni Óskarsson read from Smekkleysa's Smáritur.
