Scopus is a reference database (similar to Web of Science) with content from all fields of science from more than 21 thousand peer-reviewed scientific and academic publications dating back to 1970, as well as e-books and conference proceedings. Access to the full text of publications is often through a linking system.

Preparations are underway to connect Scopus to leitir.is and the SFX linking system and to also make it accessible from the website of the National Library of Iceland – University Library.
