Agreements have been reached for paid national access to the Scopus database, and access is based on the IP addresses of Icelandic internet providers, and is therefore national access.

Scopus is a reference database (similar to Web of Science) with content from all fields of science from more than 21 thousand peer-reviewed scientific and academic publications dating back to 1970, as well as e-books and conference proceedings. Access to the full text of publications is often through a linking system.

The address for Scopus is; http://www.scopus.com and you can also access the database's search engine from the Landsaðgangs website – hvar.is.

Preparations are underway to connect Scopus to leitir.is and the SFX linking system and to also make it accessible from the website of the National Library of Iceland – University Library.
