The National Theatre is currently presenting a play about the artist Ásta Sigurðardóttir (1930–1971). Her private archive is preserved in the manuscript collection, which includes her drawings of human figures that she made between 1960 and 1963 (Lbs 300 NF). These drawings are featured in the play and are now on display in the reading room of the Icelandic Museum/Manuscript Collection on the 1st floor of the National Library.
The cards were a prized possession of the museum a few seasons ago.
