The Icelandic Literary Society premiered in the museum's lecture hall on Thursday, April 6, the video Svipþyrping – Svipmyndir ður 200 ara sugu Hins íslenska Literary Society , which it commissioned to mark the association's 200th anniversary. The content of the video is taken from a program that was presented at the Literary Society's anniversary celebration in Reykjavík City Hall on November 19, 2016. An exhibition about the history of the Literary Society runs until May 1 at the museum. The video was directed and compiled by Marta Nordal. Jón Sigurðsson, Ármann Jakobsson and Marta Nordal selected the reading text. Readers are Sveinn Ólafur Gunnarsson and Katla Margrét Þorgeirsdóttir. Video designer is Helena Stefánsdóttir.
