An exhibition about Sigvald Kaldalóns was opened at the National Library on May 24. The exhibition is made possible with a grant from the Sigvald Kaldalóns Memorial Fund and is a collaboration between the fund, Snjáfjallasetur and the National Library of Iceland – University Library. At the opening, soprano Hallveig Rúnarsdóttir performed several of Kaldalóns songs accompanied by piano by Hrannar Þráinsdóttir. Gunnlaugur A. Jónsson gave an address on behalf of Kaldalónsniði and Sigvald Snær Kaldalóns presented the museum with several manuscripts and sheet music by Kaldalóns in addition to what has previously been presented to the museum.
