On April 27 and 28, 2017, the National Library of Iceland – University Library will host a conference organized by IFLA, the International Federation of Libraries and Librarians, to discuss the collection, preservation, accessibility and dissemination of news and news-related materials. Speakers and participants will come from national libraries, university libraries, newspaper publishers and news outlets. Topics will include user experiences of digital news archives, how the public uses news archives, researchers' use of digital humanities resources, and how libraries and companies make their news archives accessible, for a fee or free of charge.
