The Swedish Embassy in Iceland recently presented the University of Iceland with a wonderful gift: the monumental work "The Linnaeus Apostles", which deals with the remarkable discoveries of the students of the Swedish scientist Carl von Linné related to science and culture in the 18th century. Kristín Ingólfsdóttir, Rector of the University of Iceland, received the books from Bosse Hedberg, the Swedish Ambassador to Iceland.

The books will be preserved at the National and University Library of Iceland, where they will be accessible to all those interested in the great achievements of Linnaeus' disciples.
