International Open Access Week 2023 will be held from 23-29 October. This year's program is particularly diverse, thanks to the generous support of the Icelandic Library Fund. The organization has been handled by the University Libraries Collaborative Group on Open Access/Open Science.
The program can be seen here and you can also register for each event individually: https://opinnadgangur.is/vika-opins-adgangs-2023
There are four webinars, all of which will take place on TEAMS, and a seminar will be held on October 25th in Gróska and at TEAMS.
Open science/open access is a particularly important issue that affects all researchers, and the collaborative group has been joined by foreign speakers and experts who are well-versed in these issues.
The title of the webcast is:
- Open Access and Creative Commons licenses in the light of copyright
- Rights Retention Policy at the University of Edinburgh, a review of the first 18 months
- Open access to research data in practice
- Research Assessment
The seminar is intended for all researchers and those interested in open access/open science, and we especially encourage young researchers who are taking their first steps to participate.
Material:
- Publishing in open access
- Researchers' experience
- Predatory journals – publishing in trusted journals
- Preprints – CC license
- Discussions and refreshments
Please note that registration is required for each event.
