The European Library website has launched a new online exhibition that showcases digital reproductions of material related to the development of science in the 19th and 20th centuries. It includes correspondence with Albert Einstein, films from an operating theatre in the 1930s, the earliest X-rays taken by Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, images of Marie and Pierre Curie, and photographs from the 1913 World's Fair in Ghent. The exhibition includes over 600 specially selected maps, letters, magazines, films and photographs.
