Jón Múli Árnason - 100 years commemoration

Jón Múli Árnason (1921-2002) was nationally known in Iceland for his work as a radio broadcaster and songwriter. He wrote many popular songs that live with the nation and is one of the nation's most beloved composers. Jón Múli composed various musicals company with his brother Jónas and most of his songs were composed for his brothers' musicals. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Jón Múli's birth, an exhibition has been set up in the library in collaboration with Vopnafjarðarhreppur, which runs Múlastofa. On this occasion, Jón Múli's family has handed the library various documents from his possession, and the exhibition includes a diverse selection of material from his career.

The exhibition is open until August 16, 2021.
