The mathematician Hermann Kjartansson has donated a precious collection of books to the National Library of Iceland - University Library on mathematics as well as several books on related subjects, mathematical physics, astrophysics and computer science. All the books in the collection are recently published and in good condition. The majority is intended for graduate students and researchers in mathematics and related subjects. Books intended for undergraduate mathematics students will be displayed here in the library, but textbooks for graduate students and specialized texts for researchers in mathematics and related topics will be displayed in the library´s department in the University of Iceland facilities Tæknigarður.
