Last week, a two-week international summer school in manuscript studies concluded. The school is a collaborative project between the Árna Institute, the University of Iceland, the National Library of Iceland–University Library and the University of Copenhagen (Árna Library). This was the nineteenth time that the school has been held. This year, the classes took place in Edda, Veröld–Hús Vigdísar and the National Library, which is held alternately in Reykjavík and Copenhagen. The various aspects of manuscript studies were discussed and students were able to view manuscripts from the Árna Institute and the manuscript collection of the National Library of Iceland–University Library. A total of 54 students from 17 countries and 21 teachers participated in the school.
