Submission of final theses at the University of Iceland

Skemman is an electronic repository of final theses of Icelandic university students. A student who intends to graduate from the University of Iceland must submit an electronic copy of their final theses to Skemman, cf. Article 54 of the University of Iceland Regulations No. 569/2009 . The aim of Skemman is, among other things, to open access to academic material to as many people as possible, and students are encouraged to keep their theses open. Some departments have set rules regarding access to final theses, and students are advised to familiarize themselves with the procedures or other instructions for final theses in their department. In addition to a copy of the final theses, the student must submit to Skemman a statement on how access to his or her theses should be arranged.
