Supervision of the electronic publication of academic journals in Ejournals.is
The National Library of Iceland – University Library is responsible for the operation and administration of the publishing portal Ejournals.is , where Icelandic academic journals can publish their content in open access.
The library provides editorial support for setting up and operating journals in Open Journal Systems (OJS), including advice on publishing processes, metadata registration, DOI identifiers, and recommendations for registration in appropriate databases.
The conditions for publication on Ejournals.is are that the journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal and that all of its content is accessible in open access. The service is part of the museum's support for open access, Open Science and infrastructure for the Icelandic academic community and the public. The aim of the service is to strengthen Icelandic academic publishing, increase the visibility of research and support open access to knowledge. Further information can be obtained by sending an inquiry to rannsokn@landsbokasafn.is .
