The October favorites are two scrapbooks that the Women's Day Executive Committee compiled and donated to the Women's History Museum along with its entire archive. Anna Sigurðardóttir, director of the Women's History Museum, took over the Executive Committee's archives at Hotel Saga on March 28, 1976. The archive has been preserved at the Women's History Museum ever since. In October, an exhibition will be opened to mark International Women's Year and the 50th anniversary of Women's Day and the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Women's History Museum.
