Sigrún Júlíusdóttir, former professor at the University of Iceland and chairman of the Board of the Research Center for Children and Family Protection, handed on 14 June over to the National library a large part of her book collection. It is a collection with social welfare expertise, reflecting a wide range of subjects. Additionally, there is a selection of books by major social science authors. There are also recent and classic publications from the English-speaking world, as well as some of Nordic content, especially with Icelandic connections. And then there is some Icelandic ephemera (brochures, reports, etc.) that did not exist in the Library.
